I always loved drawing so it was quite natural to go to art school and achieve appropriate qualifications for a future in art - more specifically, illustration.
Upon gaining my degree, I was awarded an RSA Bursary to travel abroad for work experience in a variety of different organisations.
Returning to the UK, I worked in the creative departments of several London advertising agencies before taking the plunge, moving out of town and starting my own business with some very talented colleagues. Good move as it turned out.
Twenty years on, I was again feeling the need for change – my growing interest in portraits and oil painting was taking more of my time so I sold my share of the company and returned to where I started - drawing and painting.
And that’s where you find me now. My studio’s in East Devon where I take commissions, participate in local art clubs, do a bit of tutoring and generally have a great time doing what I really enjoy.
